Homeland Security?

It seems to be a constant issue in the world of politics…..Immigration laws.
Why should we be concerned?
The threat of terrorism is the concern of some, who are still fearing another attack on U.S. soil after 9/11.
White slavery (kidnapping of young Americans and selling them on the Black Market, sex-slave trade).
Also, illegal drugs and arms dealers are an issue of border control.
Not to mention,…a big issue for some, job security, when our country is in a state of recession.
What are considered extreme actions taken by the U.S. in order to protect its borders? Recently, there have been two deaths which are being investigated by the FBI that have outraged the Mexican Government.
Why should the Mexican Government be outraged? They say that our law enforcers used extreme measures when it was unwarranted for the situation.
Remind anyone of the case against the U.S. soldiers for their extreme treatment of an Iraqi POW?
What does Homeland Security have to say about this?
Excerpt from The Hill by Jordy Yager:
“The House of Homeland Security Committee’s subcommittee on Border, Maritime, and Global Counterterrorism Chairman Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) is awaiting the results of the FBI’s probe and told The Hill that the subcommittee may launch oversight hearings depending on the results.

The U.S. law enforcement presence along the border shouldn’t be deterred by the incident, Cuellar said, adding that more violence could be expected as the 1,200 National Guard troops that President Barack Obama ordered to the border two weeks ago begin to descend on the region.”

I have always wondered what world politics would be like if all weapons were deleted from the equation?
